Please correct my current train of thought point by point, because this is what just happened

1. I know BTC is overdue for a correction, Elon FUD the other day and general stagnation shows this will happen soon
2. See largest candle/wick/dip in bitcoins history, manage to liquidate at only 5% loss thinking I can just rebuy more of my position at this lower price
3. See it go even lower, know I made a good decision, wait out a few hours expecting to see a new low
4. see BTC is rising back up to where it was before the massive dip...don't know what to do, FOMO back in at a higher fucking price than before and lose 5m sats

Was my reasoning there not sound for a potentially successful daytrade? 5-10% loss risk for a decent potential to advance 30% of my position? Or is maybe my problem I'm thinking that drops/crashes to these low points are much more drawn out?

Im new but what are the best exchange to buy Bitcoin and Ethereum coin?
