if you look back 100 years at what life was like, it's not hard to imagine in 30 years everything interconnected with iota, you drive your car and it automatically knows where other cars are via sending data between themselves.

Things like Alexa and Siri will be looked back at like the horse and cart

Token value comes from:
- Use for payment (for example data, access rights, smart contract / oracle computing, solar panels selling their excess electricity)

- Use as colored coins. You can tokenize any asset, for example 1 office building = 1mil specifically colored coins, each resembling 1mil of this building. Colored coins are removed from the token pool for the time of use.

- Use for Mana. Whoever runs a node has prime access to the network, both in bandwidth and in consensus voting rights. You get mana by holding tokens as well as by processing value transactions (thereby making these transactions for free).

I hope this gives some ideas. IOTA foundation will soon publish an article specifically about the tokenomics of IOTA.
