For a brief moment in time, people on /fit/ used to kingpost, I thought it was pretty funny. They would just call one another king casually and some people started to shit on it, a narrative popped up that there are some kind of "them" that hate the idea of anons lifting one another up and therefore try to stop people from doing it via demoralization tactics like saying kingposters are cringe or newfags. Guess it's not a thing anymore but I still think about it from time to time.
