If it actually results in people owning and trading digital assets, then yes I think this is THE big step that will blow open the metaverse. Beyond the capability of smart contracts and whatnot. Being able to sell and trade games, and in game items with the original owner maintaining a slice of the pie incentivises companies to participate. Basically a bunch of value can be created from nothing which will continue to enable the infinite growth that American Capitalism needs to thrive. If NFTs were really nothing they wouldn't be fudded so hard. The whole bored ape bullshit was just a giant fud campaign which tried to define what an NFT was to the masses. I still remember when the iphone was announced and microshit was like "no keyboard? kek!"
