>But do NOT expect some kind of massive, society-upending CRASH, where people will lose faith in sovereign currencies and move to crypto. It will not happen.
But it will.

Now that the cat’s out of the bag, there is NO logical reason to NOT use bitcoin as the base of the future monetary system.

I like your points anon but I think you need to think bigger, way bigger. This will become one of the most major turning points in history. Period. Suspend your disbelief and look at it from that perspective...it’s an awe-inspiring concept but honestly the craziest outcome would be that exact thing somehow NOT happening!

Yeah actually maybe a little, because after all this time spent in the crypto rabbit hole, (and being unemployed for >1 year now) I've become pretty direly depressed, moreso than I ever had been before. So I would be a little apprehensive about my own ability to manage my newfound wealth if it all came flooding it relatively suddenly.

But at the same time, at this point, I don't care - my girlfriend is 37 weeks pregnant and so we're about to have our first boy, and I still can't get a fuckin job. You can imagine how bad that worsens my already-intense existential angst. So...epic megamoon cannot come soon enough for me.

Bad reasoning. Those shitcoins caught the coattails of the insane BTC bubble, and look at their charts now. If I wanted a pump & dump, I'd just keep margin trading or something, but the idea I'm told to believe behind ONE is the (real) ethereum killer, so I want this to be long-term.

Lol wtf, sorry but how the fuck does the fact that there are already seed sale bagholders when mainnet's barely out, and a steady trickle of team tokens being released every month until fucking 2023 make this at all bullish in any conceivable way?

Seriously, don't get me wrong; I am mostly playing devil's advocate here because my body is 100% ready for this shit to eat Ethereum's breakfast and moon so hard into the next BTC bull that it creates its own gravitational field...........but I'm trying to look at the project from a pure investing standpoint as well, and right now I'm just not convinced the tokenomics seem very promising at all. Everything else about Harmony is good-looking, but IF the tech doesn't absolutely destroy everyone's expectations right out of the gate here (i.e. end of 2019 latest), for any reason, and carry us to Andromeda all on its own accord - I can't help but imagine it's going to collapse as yet another chink scam PnD "ethereum killer".

Goddamn the summer in here. For the newfags:

No it's not a ruse, it does actually randomly list private keys, compute the hash for their public keys, and query the blockchain to see if they have balances.

The OP is larping however, as you could sit there checking balances for hundreds of years and have a 0.0001% chance of finding a single address with buttcoins in it, because there are 2^256 possible private keys, which is greater than the number of atoms in the known universe.

Brainlets can't into math and don't have the slightest clue how bitcoin even fucking works
