The company i work for is being acquired soon and i'm only being offered a 5% raise. The new company is way bigger and has tons of money. Is it even worth trying to negotiate? What's your experience in this? I can do negotiations for a regular job offer just fine but idk about this shit.

Why is American politics so right wing oriented if compared to the rest of the world?
I mean, republicans would be considered strongly right wing in most of the world while democrats would be considered right wing moderates.

Anon, i need your advice. I am not a very smart man, but now at the age of 32 i somehow managed to get a job that makes enough money so i can build up savings. I worked out this plan.

Save about 400€-500€ a month. Open a stock depot. Buy stocks of the following companies every 6 months and keep the stocks for at least 20 years.

Amazon, Google, Nestle, ...


Please rate my plan. Is it very stupid? Also, what other companies are a good long term investment?
