As time goes on, Thanksgiving does get worse. That's just part of getting older. In my view, you can do, to fill the void, is be kind to others. For example, I surprised one of my disabled friends (imagine: female version of Tiny Tim, she's cute) with an entire Thanksgiving catered to her, from Wegmans in NY. Came out to about $285. This is meaningful because... she's very poor and on gibs. I know it is throwing money at the problem (instead of actual volunteering) but I can't celebrate thanksgiving because I don't have family, 0 friends nearby, and I live in the least populated state now. I'm going to go do some volunteering locally. Be thankful for your family, with all its imperfections. Your sister should be thankful for you, you're a good man. Albiet a bit queer for scoopsies sometimes. Peace.
