You put the pan on the almost hottest setting. Like 90/95%
Rub oil on the steak instead of in the pan
>one side 1 minute
>flip 1 minute
>flip again while adding a decent amount of butter, like 50-100g
>you can kill the heat to half now if you don’t want charred butter, personally I prefer Smokey flavour on my steaks
Use a spoon to lap the melted bubbling butter on top of steak
>flip again after 30 seconds
>keep lapping up butter on the other side
>repeat last steps again (30s each side)
At this point the steak will be medium rare unless your stove/pan is retarded or you have a shit thin/super chunky steak.
