Crypto is a speculative asset, not a currency. Even though you wont want to admit it, the latter one is something that is backed up by governments and banks (unlike the crypto). Also a real usable currency is something that has somewhat stable price, and isnt a volatile piece of shit. Now what does it mean then when you buy crypto? It means that when you buy crypto, you're buying something that you hope increases in value (i.e. a speculative asset). Unlike other speculative assets, crypto is basically just bunch of bits floating through the ether, so when you buy crypto you're literally buying nothing when looking from real life perspective.
