Paul Conn made a public statement to the effect that a percentage of shares in plan enabled accounts are kept with the dtcc for operational efficiency purposes, and that that percentage was 10-20% across all stocks computershare holds. In theory that percentage could be different for every stock, and much higher for some potentially including GME, which means if you want to be a Book King you have to have DRIP disabled with no fractional shares active limit sells or recurring purchases on your computershare account. People actually figured this out a year ago and got shouted down by faggots, I was talking about it more than a year ago and while a few did listen most didn't, but it matters and could explain why DRS numbers haven't been keeping up with what the tally has counted because book and plan shares are reported as separate numbers to the companies whose stocks are held with computershare as the transfer agent.

Of note is that that number is higher than it should be given cneed and co's holdings which is why it was reported differently on the last earnings report. As for Atobitt, dudes a fag and has been compromised since the beginning and literally never had any shares direct registered. Which is why his """DD""" got pushed as hard as it did. If you want real DD peruvian bull's dollar milkshake theory and the heat lamp theory that's already been mentioned are the good shit, but you could also literally never read any of it and just buy shares with a broker to then direct register to computershare and still be fine if that's all you do. And so this doesn't turn into another "stfu boyardee/45/chadshill" slidefest, broker shares will still get paid out if they're held in cash only accounts with no margins or options enabled with a reputable broker but the CS shares are what will make them eventually be worth something. Everyone holding with robinhood or cashapp or webull or other fly-by-night CFD bucketshop brokers will probably get fucked by t&c's
