I got an automated resume critique and one of the things it mentioned was that the system picked up that I had 0 managerial experience.

Really made me think. I used to work at a hotel's breakfast bar and the food&beverage manager there was a depressed mess, drunk, disorganized, and honestly just plain dumb; pretty much every single week he'd ask me to come show him how to add line separators to his Excel sheet for the next week's schedule. I would purposely fuck with him and call off all the time when I didn't feel like working, just to see how he'd react - he didn't, for the most part. Just got exasperated but then never disciplined me.

I'm curious, does leading a team of people or managing ANYTHING (even a shitty hotel bar) translate into skills that scale into any size business venture?
