What you'll wanna do is spend enough time in the military to qualify for a free ride to college, then go get a bachelor's degree in CS or engineering or accounting.

If you work pretty hard in college and land a solid internship during your 3rd summer then you should have no problem getting a job for $80k or more.

And you can use your military background to supplement your income by working weekends for the National Reserve.
