I'm actually more qualified to talk about this than most anons.I'm employed with a cyber-techno machinations company, I do a lot of security analyst programming type work. Open source, decentralized, APIs, partnerships, you name it. We'd be one of the first companies in line for something like Chainlink, if the decentralized smart contract space had more value over traditional data exchanges. There's a catch though, an underlying flaw more deeply embedded in the bedrock of LINK than the very code itself. The flaw is with the concept, and it's this: Companies won't actually go through the hassle of trusting their data API's through crypto.

Now I can already hear your keyboards going frantic, but hear me out. /biz/ hates banks, and traditional data providers. But actual companies, businesses, and investors do not. There's an old saying you might have heard of: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!". The idea that any of our bosses would give us the go ahead if we approached them to put our companies valuable data in a smart contract on a cryptocurrency called Chainlink, that they've never heard of, we'd be laughed out at best and fired on the spot at worst. We already have API data buyers and providers we trust.

'But Chainlink is trustless!' I hear you cry, but is that really a good thing? Just listen to the sound of it. Businesses don't want to spend millions of dollars on something that is trustLESS, they want something trustFUL. 'But the reputation system!', doesn't that defeat the whole point of your coin? If companies only trust nodes with high reputation, what's the difference between trusting banks and data providers that already have reputation, but in real life not on a computer screen.

The fact is, LINK is going to share the same fate as ETH will. A lot of 'real world application' hype, with a lot of 'crypto world application' reality. Only, this billion supply coin isn't going to come close to the $1k that Etherum hit. Happy gambling though anons.

Go to https://www.coinbase.com/ to buy BTC or ETH. If Coinbase isn't allowed in your country, you should figure out how to get BTC or ETH yourself because it's different from country to country.

After buying BTC or ETH, go to https://www.binance.com/ and make an account.

After making an account, login and then go to this page https://www.binance.com/en/trade/LINK_BTC

Hover your mouse over "Funds", then press "Deposits"

Press the "Select/token to deposit" menu to see a list. Type Bitcoin or Ethereum in there, depending on what you bought. Bitcoin is "BTC" and Ethereum is "ETH".

Read the "Important" notice, and then copy the address given.

Go back to your Coinbase account and withdraw your BTC/ETH from there by sending it to the address you just copied.

Go back to this page https://www.binance.com/en/trade/LINK_BTC (or LINK_ETH if you bought ETH) and stare at its price while you wait for your BTC/ETH to arrive.

Buy your LINK when it arrives, and withdraw it to your cold wallet. Do I have to make a fucking cold wallet guide too? Fuck. https://www.myetherwallet.com/ or you can just have it on Binance

>most of it's investors are so poor that they NEED to believe that it will reach $1000 in order for them to escape their jobs at the grocery store
>in reality LINK almost never has decent moves in value unlike even the most worthless shitcoins
>this is dismissed as 'more time to accumulate' but it becomes more obvious as time passes that this time will never end

Here's some LINK FUD.

Can anyone debunk this?
How would it ever reach $1000 EOY?

I'm seeing a lot of idiotic price predictions for Chainlink again. Ok, let's play a game:

1. What will Chainlink's coin rank be EOY?
2. What will the total marketcap of crypto be?

Answer those two questions, and look at the chart - this is a rough price estimate for that scenario. As you can see, any cases were chainlink reaches 1000$ are completely unrealistic. Either Chainlink dethrones bitcoin and/or eth, or the valuation of crypto becomes greater than the GDP of entire nations.

>inb4 'you cant use mcap to predict like this'
no fucking shit, saying these predictions are accurate I'm just trying to show how insane the scenarios need to be where link has a high coin price

>inb4 'you're assuming distribution stays the same muhhh i suck dicks'
Aren't you a clever one, yes, I'm assuming the distribution of coin mcap by rank stays the same which has a 0% chance of being true. But, the distribution could get more top-heavy or long-tail, so fuck it, we'll just stick with an incorrect assumption to get a ROUGH GUIDE to prices

>inb4 the prices are wrong
I made this weeks ago and the price of link has only gone DOWN since then you deluded fucks

Stop huffing hopium and deluding yourself that your pathetic 10k stack is going to make you rich. At least try to learn how to invest properly. DYOR, read things, listen to dissention opinions. Don't listen to any of the third-rate larpers who waste their lives getting attention from NEETs on a chinese bicycle repair community newsletter. 1000$ EOY IS A MEME AND WILL NEVER HAPPEN

Look sweetie, Chainlink just isn't going to be that valuable. Sure, the few that got 100k of them in the ico will do well, but you could say that about almost any ico.

I AM NOT FUCKING LARPING....I JUST FOUND THIS SHIT OUT ABOUT CHAINLINK...SOMEONE TELL ME WHY THIS IS HAPPENING???

Okay dudes, so I was looking at the order flow on chainlink and I found out why the FUCK the volume has been so high recently...There's someone setting up a BOT who is selling to himself...I repeat...This guy is selling chainlink to himself. I don't know why, other than trying to get some commison??

How do I know it's a bot selling to itself? Because whenever the orders go up for like 4 or 5k chainlinks I will instantly put in an order for like 10k chain links .000001 satoshi higher than him. And then immediately the order is taken off...So I then instantly take mine off. And the bot then puts in the same order at the same price, so I instantly one up his order and the bot will take it off AGAIN.

But if I do this enough I start to notice the bid order gets bigger and bigger and bigger. First was 2k chain links and if I do this 5 or 6 times it becomes 10k chain links...

Then when I finally let it go or the robot realizes i'm doing this, he will put it one higher than me and instantly sell to himself...

So it's some dude that programmed a bot to sell to himself...two different wallets, two different accounts.... however it's the same man with this weird plan...

i'm not larping and this is actually true...try it yourselves...

The order flow is clearly a robot selling to itself...

So what does this mean though??? is this bad or good??? I'm kinda confused why anyone would do this??? any insight would be greatly appreciated...

Stay stinky my linky marines

Let's play:
1. What coin rank will link achieve?
2. What will the total crypto mcap be?
--> Look up link price on the table

Post your answers and reasoning. inb4 you can't predict prices with mcap, of course you fucking can't this is just a thought exercise.
