Am I too late to hop on board the stock train? Is it doomed to crash soon? And if it's wallstreet that crashes (since it is the market which people seem to be predicting to crash) would I be fine if I invested somewhere else than the united states? What market would be good to invest in in these volatile times?

Bitcoin Price Can Reach $1,000 Before New Year, Hits $990 in China

The price of Bitcoin in China went past $990 this afternoon, as Chinese investors continued to push high volumes in local exchanges.

Most investors at this time of the year are hoping to evade capital controls and circumnavigate cash restrictions, as noted by Holger Zschaepitz, financial author and editor of Welt.

Analysts revealed that Bitcoin hit record high volumes this past week, which ultimately led to its price rally and pushed the price of Bitcoin to increase by over 20 percent. Zero Hedge suggested that Chinese investors are anticipating further yuan devaluation and the tightening of capital controls, caused by the rising rates of the Federal Reserve and increasing cash outflow as the New Year approaches.

Hello /biz/. I am yet another in the constant flux of college freshman seeking advice from a Birkinabe Glass Blowing Symposium.

>Currently Freshman at midtier state school
>Undecided, but started in rigorous engineering program
>lot of work, struggle slightly with workload and physics / calculus, but with enough work can understand material.
>Set to finish first semester with somewhere between a 3.0 - 3.5
>Passion and strength cater towards History degree
>unsure if falling for STEM meme because really excelled at AP history classes in High School
>Doing not bad, but not a mathwiz like a lot of peers.
>fear for future
>Main goal: Develop a passive income by the time I'm 30.
>Thinking Engineering + MBA program here can allow proper knowledge and startup capital to do so via self employment
>Looking at Bioenvironmental Engineering
>Tree nursery family business going strong at the moment, but requires a lot of individual involvement, would take a long while to get to point of passive income and self sustainability.

Are there other degree paths that may seem more suitable? Was considering Law with a History / Philosophy double major because both are very strong nationally in my school, and I'm very certain I'd make a strong GPA in such departments. Was also thinking CS / IT / BAIT for freelance, digital nomad work in hopes of eventually cultivating a passive income through investment.

If you read all that and think I'm absolutely retarded in wasting money on college while not having a plan, be my guest, but will graduate debt free with a bachelors as per familial agreement. I just need some guidance as to make a decision.

The issue with it the last time it tried the same product was that doctors and pharmacists are very hesitant to prescribe the mandatory lung test because it most likely wouldn't be covered by insurance.

Mfw 300.

I need another order of magnitude before I can consider retiring though. Until that happens any gains will remain unrealised.

I can literally right anything for the memo on my checks right?

Like niggersniggersniggers, or 9/11 was an inside job?

Sometimes I hate writing people checks and I need to vent.

Mortgages are a thing, indeed. But even so, down payments are a thing too. From my area (far western suburbs of Chicago, expensive, but certainly nothing compared to the coasts). It seems like 50% of houses would require a combined income in which both earners make six figures.

It just baffles me that there could be enough people that fit that criteria here, let alone somewhere like the coasts (where they'd need even more income).

I don't know when it will, but it will go there easy. Impatient people who thought that FOOD was the next pump and dump are getting impatient and selling. Weak hands are leaving. I saw quite a few huge buys (I watched on person buy 1/4th of the coin supply on bittrex in a half hour. So you know something big is coming. I'm hoping it goes in between 4 and 3 satoshi where i will buy like crazy for easy short returns to double and triple my BTC and sell just enough to cover my initial investment and hodl the rest for moon. Don't feel bad about buying at 10sats. I bought all mine from 6 to 12 satoshi and sold a bunch at 15 to 20 satoshi. Anyone who has been playing the FOOD market has made money. It's nice and easy too since the price moves up and down relatively slow. But yes 10 sats will happen soon, I wouldn't even worry.

I see where your question in >>258633 is coming from, but even if the N could be easily adjusted for LTC we wouldn't actually know if adjusting N solved the problem with the ASICs.

I think the scrypt paper does not answer this positively (note: mentioned in the pic are r and p, not N; also the term optimum value is not further elaborated on (optimum value does not imply a significantly better ASIC resistance especially if you consider that tuning these parameters might also mean that you scare away past-generation GPU users)).
