Except the supply-demand ratio doesn't exist in a vacuum. You've got government debt, you've got tax income the government wants... and then too much demand destruction leads to PERMANENT energy supply destruction because there's not enough money being invested in building out more energy supply to keep pace with future demand. Permanent in the sense that you're always going to be X number of months or years behind than where we could have been. And then factor in all of the reshoring/nearshoring of industry back to the US and Mexico from China, and the power requirements needed for all of that. The Fed's hands are tied.
