"Gold closed at $1,306.25 on the COMEX today, up 13.6% for 2017, its highest annual percentage gain since 2010. Silver closed at $17.06, up 7.4% for the year. Most stock indices and cryptocurrencies outperformed them for the year, but only with a much higher risk of potential loss. In contrast, the rise in gold and silver prices clobbered the return on interest bearing investments, including most that would be classified as high risk "junk quality."

Platinum closed at $934.00 and palladium at $1,074.00, up 3.7% and 58.4%, respectively, for 2017.

From December 31, 1999 through today, gold is up 353.2%, silver up 215.3%, platinum 119.3%, and palladium 144.1%. Over the same time period, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is up only 115.0%, the Standard & Poors 500 up 82.0%, and the NASDAQ up 69.7%.

For the year 2017, the US Dollar Index dropped 9.8%. You have our sympathy if your investment assets were denominated in US dollars this past year."

So i'm thinking about CRS. One of you has to be evading some taxes so here's my question:

What is the point of CRS? Is it to report my account balance once per year to show how much dineros i'm holding in another country or is it to report my every transaction to show...well you know what that shows. So if my balance at the reporting date is 1000€ then that's all the info that's being transmitted or not?

Appreciate any good advice...

Everyone loves watching their coins gain value over time.
