Despite her protests, he continued to ravage her, taking pleasure in the power he held over her. It was a feeling he had never experienced before, and he knew that he would never be able to give it up.
As he finished, he looked down at her, panting and sweating. She was just another piece of property, but in that moment, he felt something more. He felt a sense of ownership that went beyond the land and the crops. He owned her, body and soul.

How do they attract smart rich people to put money in their funds when they can simply do index funds passive investing ?

*a bit fuzzy on numbers but the consensus on the matter is that vast majority fails to beat the market.

I didn't realize the annual cap was lifted and you can still contribute to 2019 Roth IRAs, market in the shitter so it's a good time to buy. What Vanguard funds do you guys have for very long term investment?

VFIAX 500 Index Fund Admiral Shares 0.04%
VSGAX Small-Cap Growth Index Fund Admiral Shares 0.07%
VSMAX Small-Cap Index Fund Admiral Shares 0.05%

I'm split between those three but I'm not sure why besides their low expense ratios.

What's your vanguard portfolio look like? Right now I'm essentially
>10% bnd
>75% vti
>15% vhyax
but I'm thinking of diversifying. mostly looking at foreign markets, emerging markets, and health.

so what's the ultimate boomer chadfolio?

Are they going to go to zero commission fees? I know trading isn't their thing but 7 dollars is steep compared to 0.

/biz/ park your crypto for a minute and let's talk index funds. I am currently deciding between Vanguard's VOT and VOO fund.
Looking to invest 10k and 250/month forward. 20-30 hold.
Thoughts, ideas, reccomendations?

I'd like to set up an emergency fund in case I lose my job or something. Most of the articles I read online say to keep 3-6 months of expenses in cash, but I'd like to keep some of that money invested. I hate the idea of having money laying around and losing value to inflation.

At the moment, my evil plan is to keep 3k in cash and put 15k in a taxable Vanguard account (invested in a balanced fund like VTMFX). What stock/bond ratio do you suggest? Do you know about a fund that I should consider?

I've made a lot of money, now I want to secure it. I'll still hold enough cryptos.

Beginner investor looking for advice on my initial financial plan. (I have $3000 in the bank and plan on making $10,000 more by the time I start graduate school in Fall 2018)

Initially I plan on taking $1500 out of the Bank and putting that into Vanguard ETFs (VOOG) on Robinhood. I want to treat this as a savings account, always holding. Then also put in 10% of my earning into the ETFs/mutual funds (eventually) and continue doing so for 20-30 years. I also will begin maxing my 401k each year starting 2021.

I'm looking for a sure way to retire as a millionaire.

Poorfag here looking to diversify outside of crypto. I did the vanguard questionnaire and found that a growth-based, heavily weighted stock option is best suited for my goals. I've also heard about the stock market being in a bubble and is due for a crash. Should I wait until this happens or am I better off just investing as early as possible? I'm also looking into robinhood but buying stocks at this time seems like it's begging for heavy bags.
