Oh yeah for water purification I just made a still, lol. You can just buy a copper coil then stick it inside of a plastic paint bucket. Costs $40 and should last for another 30 years. Just boil some clean enough water and collect the steam through a teapot. It's not as immediate as something like a lifestraw, stills take a long time just to make a cup but it will be clean. And it's copper so you even get to use semi-precious metals!

Don't fall for the copper (((bullion))) scam /pmg/. If you buy copper buy it for practical use, I'm wanting to build a still.
