I'm a Frog, so apart from Degiro, unfortunately there isn't much I can do to avoid getting raped by brokers. My broker is Saxo, fees are pic related for Asia. Min fee would be 100HKD, so a bit less than 13$ for a small buy, and 0.15% (or is it 100HKD and then an additional 0.15% over that, I don't remember, I'll go read the little lines).
For comparison, buying on the NYSE would cost me 10$. Obviously, as an European, fees are far lower on Euronext. Either way, I'm indeed getting raped if I want to expand horizons globally (other than by using ETFs operating on my domestic market).
