Last cycle, I refused to buy into shitcoins that had already pumped x5 or x10 from the all time low, just to watch them do another x10 or even x50 from that point. I suffered insane fomo, but when the price rose even further the thought of buying in was even more painful. I missed a ton of moon missions this way.

In addition, I thought that coins needed to have any sort of "fundamentals" or solve some technical / business problem in order to be viable. I was convinced that memecoins were a scourge and would die off as quickly as they came. How wrong I was. Crypto doesn't solve a single real problem except that it's really good for playing around with money, aka gambling. Even "useful", programmable crypto (like e.g. ETH) is only used to create more get quick rich schemes and gambling coins. "Fundamentals" and other technical BS is just marketing that's tailored to nerds. Fuck this. It's all marketing BS anyway. And in marketing, memes > tech.

2 reasons:
a) Bitcoin ETF means that institutional money is flowing into BTC, and in BTC only. Retail retards buy BTC, don't get rich instantly, go to instagram to vent their frustration and get shilled the next dogcoin / altcoin. Institutions don't do that. They just buy the BTC ETF.
b) The whole "Blockchain will revolutionize business X" narrative is dead. AI is currently showing what a real revolution looks like. You can see that with alts - they don't even try anymore to convince you that they do something with an actual usecase. Instead they have funny meme names so you at least have some fun while losing money.
I made good money with BIS in 2018 and with PRQ in 2022, but this time I'm all in BTC with just some ETH and that's it.

I bought 14 BTC about 10 years ago. One afternoon, I thought "let's do some swing trading and make 15 BTC out of it". 2 hours later, I had 12 BTC. I grudginly realized that I had lost about 400 bucks in an afternoon and decided to just hold. Soon after, I forgot about my Bitcoin until I read about it in the news in 2017.

I finally sold 5 BTC in 2021 to buy a house. Still holding the remaining 7 BTC.

If I hadn't learned this lesson early on, chances are I'd never sit in this room I'm currently in, looking out into my garden. Take it as your lesson OP, buy back in and just hold.

The reason bad actors in these threads try to create an adversarial GME vs. crypto mindset is so that people don't apply crypto-honed TA skills to GME. The chart of GME since the sneeze looks like a continuously diluting shitcoin, which when combined with the short volume data ( >>56768019 ) suggests that not only did the shorts not close, net new shorts have been continuously opened every day. This doesn't show up in the SI so they must be using market maker exceptions or providing synthetic locates with options, futures, swaps, or other derivatives. They can't actually stop people from buying and DRSing shares, so all they can do is FUD and mess with the reporting. Meanwhile the jaws of the trap inch closed.
