Covidism is the new religion, where appeals to health/safety are used to restrict your freedom of speech, right of assembly, and right to protest (unless you're with burn/loot/murder) and most importantly place restrictions on commerce between individuals.

The final point, a cashless society is a symbiosis of both. Talk of CBDC rollouts abound; private blockchains to track all levels of commerce and prevent the transmission of the flu by taking away the handling of that icky icky cash. A currency that can have rules programmed into them: a floating interest rate (negative or otherwise), restrictions on what it can be swapped for (no gold/crypto for you goy), a ledger of your every single transaction held by the government.
