You are off by 2x at least. a 3000kh Scrypt miner costs $2400. Try getting that out of a GPU rig. It is not innefficient at all, it is actually a little cheaper than GPU miners and way more power efficient. Please go look things up often if you want to speak about crypto. It moves rather quickly.

Look, anybody with half a brain can see that this is going to be a major part of the world economy soon. There is no debate on if we should have threads on it or not.

What we need is a set of rules to limit the dumbass threads, and we need those right at the top of the sticky. We can also offer information in the sticky on where they can learn the basics of cryptos before they post stupid begginner questions like, "I have $2000, should I buy BTC or LTC?"

This is very simple, and there is a thread already discussing a sticky for /biz/ in the works. People should be able to speak about anything crypto related, but we are not here to be brokers and shills. We will not answer stupid questions.
