That feeling never goes away, you just gotta remember that most people doing most things are doing them poorly and there's no magic. Its really not that hard to beat them, at least in some aspects. Even major companies do things really poorly and can be easily beaten on certain pain points for possible customers/clients just by virtue of actually trying and giving a fuck. Take for instance Amazon. No, you can't beat their 2 day shipping (although right now you feasibly could because they've temporarily removed the 2 day shipping option). But can you beat them in the sense that if a customer has an issue or question that they can get an answer from a real person within minutes? Absolutely.

Can you beat major corporation's branding and public image? No. But if you had a restaurant could you make better ads than pic related, or run a more personal/charming social media presence? Absolutely, this ad could be put together by most kids in junior high, and its not good by any measure other than the fact that the creative includes the letters "KFC" in it
