Question, what's to stop someone from just giving their kids as much stuff while they're still alive as possible? Like obviously the will needs to come in play if you just randomly die of a stroke, but if I'm bad enough that I obviously have only about a month or so left to live what's stopping me from giving stuff away discretely?

In the Communist manifesto pretty sure Marx wanted TOTAL inheritance tax, as in everything goes when you die. That's really bullshit because why work or save at all if I can't try to send my kids off better than me? Isn't that literally the point of life itself, to ensure your progeny succeeds and has your DNA thrive into generations ahead? Of course the powers that be love that shit because then it's nearly impossible to build up generational wealth.
