their marketing is so bad and their whole adoption team is idiotic. They have like 500 million dollars and wont spend any of it "because taxes" and won't listen to any ideas from the community. They could incentivize so much app development, liquidity farming, give away free data sets, subsidize network usage etc and 18k for a hackathon is all they can muster. What kind of garbage are you going to get for a potential prize of at most 10k lmao good developers are making 200+ / hr. I think Gilles realized he has unlimited runway and will just tinker for the next 20 years until his project is perfect. Lesson learned - don't trust academics to ever deliver anything useful.
