value investing is fine, but GDXJ is not a value investment. GDXJ is an ETF comprised of gold / silver miners. mining is a cyclical business based on a commodity - it is not really a secular value play because the truth is that people need Coca Cola (buffet owns) more than they need gold. Coca Cola to the average person is a necessity; gold is a luxury - its not needed in average every day life
