I'm new to investing and got money to put in, but I noticed over the past week of getting familiar with Fidelity that the market is making a turn downward. Is it best just to hold onto my money for a week or two in anticipation of the market being closer to a valley bottom?

I'm just getting into investing beyond the 401k and IRA that I'm maxing out on. However, over the past week that I've started getting myself familiar with Fidelity and doing some amateur research on stocks, mutual funds, and ETFs, it seems to me that the market in general is taking a downward turn.

What should I with the money I want to invest with at the moment? Buy stuff right now, or hold the money and wait a week or two in anticipation of the market being closer to the valley bottom?
