I don't know, I just don't like HR being involved in anything and I'm slow to trust. My new boss seems to bounce between ultra-professional mode and "I don't give a single fuck and I'll tell you things I definitely shouldn't be" on a whim.

In terms of keeping me, one minute he's saying he knows I interviewed somewhere else (true) and is asking how he can keep me, then he's saying he'll look into giving me more money, then he's saying he can't increase my salary, then he's talking me into taking this other job I've been offered and how it'll be good for me, then he's saying he values me and wants me to stay, then he's saying he is extending my probation by three months because he's not sure.

I don't get it.
