For FUD to be effective, there has to be a kernel of truth to it, like OMG having no working code for example.

REQ is basically PayPal except it piggybacks on the Ethereum Virtual Machine to do all the work in the background that mediates the transfer, instead of PayPal's proprietary, opaque, central processing architecture.
