GSM comes out with several mini-mintages that are very high-priced from the get-go. I don't know how people find out about them, but then they appear on ebay. Pic related. ebay takes 13% (last I heard), plus there's shipping, plus the sellers want to make a profit (don't we all), and then there's the "I know what I have" syndrome.
So yeah, expect prices for rare pieces to go for a lot on ebay.
