I'm a member of an informal team that's about to become a company. In order to settle copyright issues, I've been sent a legal release form to sign. Most of it is just about granting rights to the company, but there is one section that concerns me.

>I hereby grant [...] for the compensation of appearing in the credits if the product ships. My services are a "work-for-hire" as that term is used in copyright law, and no further compensation will be given.

Could signing this come back to bite me in the ass when we ship? As it stands, the company has no money or resources, but most release forms seem to specify monetary compensation.
