It's not that it's *better* than Ethereum (Avalanche it's not an Ethereum killer since both have very different visions and targets), but in terms of performance, Avalanche:
>it's faster (sub-seconds finality)
>a LOT cheaper
>VM agnostic
>has its own consensus mechanism (Avalanche Consensus)
>scales via subnets, which are safer and perform better than any L2 or rollup
>can scale to sustain massive adoption without outages
And so on. Also, it's worth mentioning Avalanche can do anything Ethereum can, while Ethereum couldn't copy Avalanche even if it wanted to.
Ethereum set the foundations of modern DeFi, but Avalanche is the absolute standard, there's nothing technologically better.
