bad times, VIX funds is not for the timid

and yea VIX is sigma in pic related, its not an actual collection of stocks, or tied to any actual company

thats why it can be calculated, but it is not an investment itself (but it is important for options, so it is measured and tracked for the market as "the VIX", then packaged in an investible form such as those funds)
