I'm the Former New York State Department of Financial Services, I'm known for establishing the BitLicense framework and regulatory scheme. I helped keep cryptocurrency from gaining attention in 2013-2014 while working with charles shumer and andrew cuomo. I know a lot of your crypto friends might tell you that bitcoin was created in reaction to the financial collapse of 2008 that was mostly instigated by a few bankers taking advantage of a financial system that they designed to fail so that they would get bailed out by tax payers. but, your friends are confused and misguided. Just please sell some of your Bitcoin for ripple, we all know that a decentralized currency that is maintained by the people for the people is not an option, and should never have been put on the table.

Ripple is a centralized shitcoin that pretty much goes against all the principles that bitcoin and crypto in general was founded on

One of its board members is Benjamin Lawsky, a former NY politician that created the law that requires exchanges go through a lengthy process to acquire a license in the state of NY (which is why most exchanges don't sell to people there)

After creating this law, he quit and started his own private consulting firm to charge people money to get these licenses. NOW he is on the Ripple board of directors... not to mention this coin is a total chinese shitcoin to begin with. It's not even a real cryptocurrency as in its not decentralized at all...

He became a politician and for 4 years pursued regulations for crypto in NY

As soon as he gets his law passed requiring ridiculous licenses he quits and starts his own consulting firm to profit off the law he just created.

He is currently on the board of advisors of Ripple(XRP)
