PyrMex is a futures / guessing game which works with EPX (EthPhoenix) as the underlying asset.
The two contracts are separate in that you DON'T need to buy EPX to participate, and none of the funds put into PyrMex are put into EPX (Unless you want them to). Though I would recommend you do... heres why

Pyrmex futures were created to induce huge volatility in the ethphoenix smart contract and has done so quite well. Volatility is good for the phoenix because EPX holders earn a cut of of EVERY buy and sell from the contract. To be clear, 10% of every transaction that goes into ethphoenix contract land in the community pot. This pot is then distributed to each coin holder accordingly in the form of dividends; earn eth by holding coins! Not to mention the value of the coin itself is mooning.
