that is the same reason narcissist and psychopaths need constant stimulation and are impulsive and reckless they try to get the dopamine boost by actions. both feel deadly boredom very easily.

same reason all jails are full of inmates who have stimulant addiction. adhd is very close to narcissism and psychopathy in very sense all those conditions are lack of dopamine.

schizophrenia and ocd is the opposite they never get bored and typically all opposite of impulsivity in personality traits (unless in psychosis) and that condition too much dopamine or too sensitive dopamine receptors.

caffeine increases dopamine receptor sensitivty more than actually boost dopamine. adhd drugs directly boost dopamine
