I disagree with this whole philosophy of the imageboards being bad meme
Apparently some useless NEETs get addicted to this site (likely the ones that buy into hype way too easily like linkies) but I've never gotten anything but enjoyment, brotherhood, and good advice that only a fool would take as fact from this place.

I've thought about it for a long time, what makes 4chan(nel) great, and after many years of our jokes, memes, words, and culture being appropriated to the point of soul-destruction by wider and wider circles of unwitting normen, I've found only one concrete thing;
the site formerly known as 4chan, as well as the broader imageboard stream, if anything can be said about them, it is that this is where things happen first.
This early adoption effect is protected not by secrecy or special codewords, as they would be cracked near instantly by any community in the internet age, but by pee pee and poo poo.
The properly harsh, newfag-hating, lurk moar indicting, utter free speech and cunny loving culture of 4chan and the imageboards like it, naturally wards anyone away who is not able to filter and focus for the sake of discussion.
Unluckily it also draws cringy neckbearded edgelords who are simply numb to any normal social conventions and want to spam the word niggerfaggot because hehe it's a naughty word, but they are a relative blessing compared to the circlejerking, shadethrowing, karma-driven cancer of reddit or any of its ilk.


Discarding the fellowship of a suspiciously high percapita group of analytically minded autists just because you get too addicted to posting and internet memes is a waste and a dumb idea; but if you are the sort of person who really is affected by these things then yes you should leave because you're a normie and we don't need you bye :^)
