I hate the stock market because with any other hobby or discipline you actually learn foundational elements that compound over time. Your experience makes you more confident and you become a professional at your craft or subject. The stock market is nothing like that, it's just random, and sure there are underlying factors that can indicate certain outcomes, but you can NEVER learn enough to assure them. You can only approximate. And there, the rub lies. It's a meaningless thing to discuss any of it, to analyze any of it, and it simply leaves us with nothing. Your 5.. 10.. 20 years of "experience" and "knowledge" will be instantly usurped by someone who just hit 18 and gets lucky, or knows how to use the newest technologies (think, reddit). It's all timing, and luck, and your are essentially meaningless to the entire game. In fact, you are investing your time and in exchange.. get nothing. The market is the worst personal investment to ever exist in the history of mankind.

Palantir's approach is using an ontology as a basis. They're essentially isolated modules summarizing segments of your company (sales, employees, customer data, and so on). Importantly, these modules are connected on Foundry. Meaning that, for example, if you want to know what product to sell given customer interest (any large amount of variables) you can directly "ask" Foundry. It's called AI driven decision making simply because the software reads and processes all of the available information to spit out the most efficient answer. This, of course, is just one use-case.

The customizations are all low-code or no-code within Foundry itself. It's akin to editing pages and tables on Notion, if you're aware of that software. The simplicity will also scale as time moves forward, removing "work" from Palantir's end.

All being said, please remember Foundry is but a fragment, the commercial one, of Palantir.
