I'd assume coins are counterfeited more. It takes about the same amount of work to fake a round as it does a coin and the markup is greater on coins.
Some may say that there's laws about counterfeiting sovereign coins, but when has China ever taken other countries' laws seriously.

It's way too complicated, and the bankers did it on purpuse to obfuscate how much they're screwing everyone over. Bernanke even smugged at everyone, basically calling them idiots and said that he couldn't explain to the public why the crash happened because it was too complicated for their smooth brains. ;^)
In reality, it's very simple: metals are real, and the rest is all made-up bullshit.

90% is my stack, and half the rest is in actual cash on hand. I don't like leaving a lot in the bank, but there's a bunch sitting in there right now, because I haven't bought anything in several months (waiting for another dip).

I for one are enjoying IQDELET's low effort memes. Such a unique style compared to his previous incarnations, almost as if he's not organic, but some pathetic intern slaving away in the basement of a some internet opinion influence sweatshop.
"Youtube comments? That's not until your third year. You have to earn your stripes arguing with autists about whether paper is real or not"
I'm sure that $250,000 in debt you took out for that PolySci degree will pay off someday!

Diamonds are literally worthless. The ones that don't get set in jewelry are smashed and used on saw blades and grinding wheels.

The point is they no longer care what the LMBA thinks spot price is. They have setup their own market, and this is what all the BRICS will use. The LBMA will then become obsolete for the majority of the world. And once the price difference is large enough, the LBMA won't have any credibility even in the west.

I don't really have a hard limit on the premium itself. But I fixed my upper limit at 1800 euros/oz. I simply don't buy anything whatsoever above that.
I bought some krugerrands this summer, when the gold prices dropped. I've spent most of my savings now. Pretty soon I'll have to switch to buying 2 rand coins, british sovs, or 20F. In any case, my limit remains the same: 1800 euros/oz.
Maybe I'll have to adjust this number later on, when gold prices start to climb. For now it seems like a good guideline to keep me on track.

Every hard asset is going to "moon" when the currency (and related financial instruments) self-destructs. We don't know exactly when this will happen, but it will. They've done nothing whatoever to reign in the issuance of debt, but rather they just keep printing trillions more every year. It's not going to end well at all, and the only safe haven is hard assets. Silver and gold are both very good choices, and which one(s) you go with depends on your personal circumstances. There is no 100% correct answer here. We can only offer 1:100 ratio as a general guideline, but once newbies understand how things work, they can/should make their own tailored plans.

Nobody's going to have any funds left to buy silver when that happens. That's why we're buying now, while our stupid fiat isn't at peak weimar levels. But when the acceleration starts, it's ogre. You'll have whatever silver and gold you managed to squirrel away, and that's it.

I just passed the 100 kilo mark, lads. What do I buy next? I'm at 3300 Ag, 96 Au. I have just under 39k euros available that needs to be spent on cheapies.
