Is there any way when you sell the silver that you would get the VAT back (excluding overall profit from increase in spot)? If not, then you're going to have to wait for silver to moon quite a lot to recover when you sell.
I hear tell gold (coin only?) is VAT free, so if I had got that kind of cash in Bongland, I'd go gold.

It changes over how much you have. At some point the sheer mass of silver becomes burdensome, so gold becomes a better way to concentrate your wealth. I'm currently at 91:1 Au:Ag.

Unrelated. ... New arrival.
