If fiat is merely the central bank's opinion, why do people care about the central bank's opinion? On the surface, you can't outright just say the central bank's opinion matters because they control the government's armies - that doesn't appear to be immediately the case - so if the central bank doesn't have any hard power, why does anyone give a fuck what they think?

Lets say I want to sell BTC now at 22K because I believe it will go lower, but I also want to protect myself so I also immediately put a BTC limit buy order at around 22.5K in case I am wrong to not miss out on the potential move up. And then if BTC keeps going lower I just keep lowering that limit buy order as well, so lets say BTC falls to 17K and my limit buy order is at 18K at that point, BTC at 15K and my limit buy order at 16K etc. Basically keep putting that limit buy order above the last lower high.

Is that a valid strategy or am I retarded? My higher than current market price limit buy order must be 100% completely filled first in order for the price to go above it, right? Or is there a possibility of my limit buy order somehow not being completely filled even though the market keeps ripping upwards?
