Monero has two phd cryptographers on salary. They are currently researching various ways to improve moneros privacy and scalability. This along with regular hardforks ensures this that monero is going to easily adapt to the future. Check the research labs roadmap here:

>Red pill me on monero /biz/
Monero is what bitcoin was supposed to be. It is exactly what the dark web needs.

It is fungible, Bitcoin is not. Fungibility is a prerequisite for money.

It is scalable and flexible, whereas Bitcoin's need for a fee market will put a bottle neck on movement between second layers.

It is private. No serious business can operate with everything out in the open let alone illegal businesses.

Niggas here that think privacy is impossible don't know what they'retalking about. It's hard, definitely. Even when people claim things are private they are often wrong, take Dash for example. With Monero though, privacy is the number one focus and Monero has serious and smart people who care about privacy working on it. And that's not some bullshit like "oh we are committed to privacy so we can serve our customers" kind of bullshit like instamine dash or dev tax zcash or some company. These are people that need privacy and are building a tool that they want to use.
