>They tell you to run a node so you can verify the rules of the system are being followed (not enforced). Then they shill you LN a network in which you cannot verify any transactions at all

Undermines the entire small block argument.

LN has an immense amount of bugs and vulnerabilities. They can't patch them all. People have lost Bitcoin. Going offline can cause loss of Bitcoin. LN has literally none of the security of Bitcoin. It's a separate unrelated system that settles payments onchain. Developers of it of LN recommend users go an additional step and employ third party watch towers to watch for fraud. Something not required on Blockchains.

It's a complete disaster steaming pile of shit. Hubs are trusted entities. Just use Paypal.

The definition of a Bitcoin node is found in the Bitcoin white paper, section 5.

You can run whatever type of node you like, but what you are running is just not Bitcoin kek

How many coffee beans have you planted this month, how many chicken raised for your morning breakfast?

You do know what specialization in economics is, right?

I don´t specialize in node upkeep in the bitcoin economy. Why should I buy SSD´s?

Can I be sure my tx goes through? yes.
Can I be sure the full ammount of satoshis is less than 21 million? Yes.

So again, why should I buy SSD?
