diy floor safe, 3/8 plate steel about .33 cu ft. without lid. originally designed to fit concealed within a typical floor joist. but Im renting a trailer - cant cut access in the floor here so im leaning towards a more rounded "pirate chest lid" instead of a flat top which I can convert back down the road if need be. here's what I got so far, ill update as it progresses. thinking about adding trim with some thinner angle iron/flat stock. still pondering locking mechanism design.
