Oof... so many... hard choice. For bullion, I'd say the Niue Galileo. But for touching base with the Earth, this nugget.

Yes. But you might not be able to use it as such.

Looks to me like you're doing pretty darned well with what you've got - on a few levels.
Agreed - natural is stunning. I can't really go out myself, so I cheated and bought a chunk. Not quite the same feeling, but still awe-inspiring!

It's still not easy to do macro. You've seen the setup I use for my pics, right? And that's to get the flat surfaces of coins and bars. The radical macro photographers might take a few pictures manually focused at different planes and then use software to merge the focused parts into one picture. Taking pics of small 3D objects is not a trivial pursuit. Look at the granite plate in this pic. You can see how a somewhat serious camera focuses at f22, a very small aperture.

Huh... Cameroon has come out with some fantastic coins that I never knew existed until years later. There are probably hundreds of others from all over the world that would make me happy. I can't imagine there being just one.
And I've got many that are spectacular, but this nugget probably gave me the biggest gasp of wonder when I handled it.

Testify, brother!
I followed PanMAn's advice too, and have to say it's one of the most fascinating things I've ever bought.
