Ok, I hate to be the retard making another thread about this shit, but I need to some spoonfeeding. I want to get into cryptoshit, but don't understand how to buy the less mainstream ones. Obviously I can use Coinbase/Binance for the big ones, but if I want to buy lesser known ones, I need to:
>get a metamask wallet (already done)
>go to Uniswap
>connect my wallet to Uniswap in browser
>if what I want isn't listed, I need to manually add the token contract (which I can get from CoinGecko)
>execute trade
And then I assume the crypto I buy will be placed in my wallet that I used? Does Coinbase/Binance even let me store crypto with them that they don't actively trade on their platforms?

Anything I'm missing or not thinking about? Also, I assume if I'm a security conscious individual, I should look into purchasing a hardware ledger or some sort?
