i worked for a federal contractor company who mainly sold cybersecurity to the feds, but branched off into arms dealing and shit. i went from selling switches and routers to armored nissan pickup trucks for a colombian police drug task force

it will eventually tie back to who you know with strong military ties. you can start a business "arms dealing" and doing "security" work without any prior military experience yourself, but in order to bid on contracts, you need to know the owners of security team companies. the actual operators will all be ex-military and most likely special forces

you personally don't need to have combat experience to win contracts for your company, but you need to know people who do have ties to military in some way. most likely you will have to hire someone with these connections and pay them nice $$. thats what we did anyway. but 1 dude with solid connections can get you a lot of business.

you gotta be careful man there are alot of laws and regulations you need to know about as well, especially if you are shipping products or operating outside the country - look up ITAR
