Well there's multiple power centers out there, some with aligned goals, some not. My personal theory is he gets all buddy buddy with Israel (he literally does campaign ads for Netanyahu) so they will run cover for him while he fucks with the US deep state. I imagine if anyone is seriously planning on taking him down Israel would hear about it first and let him know. But the shit he does for Israel is mostly window dressing, he kisses their ass to their face, but when it comes down to real shit like not fucking with Israel's pet ISIS he won't play ball.
Of course I don't really know shit, but my theory does seem to support the behavior I see.
