Short squeezes are not effective if they're expected. The whole point is for it to come as a surprise to all the short positions so they have to cover deep in to a loss before they get liquidated. If something like that is brewing, short positions will just taper out without moving the price much. My understanding is the thesis on GME is just very high short percentage therefore squeeze at some point? I'd like to know if there is more to it than only that. Because that alone does not make a squeeze.

you see how it looks like a seismograph chart? it's gonna keep doing that until Branson starts pulling in some kind of revenue. It's all hopes and dreams speculation now and this is what hopes and dreams speculation chart looks like. I can moon straight back up to the previous ATH and maybe a little more if the hype is running hot enough. It can also crash straight to low single digits again.
