What I heard is that due to the price having been pushed down today because there was no buying pressure, hedge funds have now been able to open call positions in de low 100s which will actually make them money when they start closing their shorts, offsetting their losses, and lowering the squeeze top.
I am, however, a fucking retard so I have no idea how to weigh this information but at first glance it seems plausible and gives an actual functional reason why it was worth it for them to close retail buyers of for today.
Thoughts?

What's also bugging me is that the shorts seem to be down from 140% to 120% today. That feels like a significant decrease for what the price has done. What will this mean for the top of the squeeze?
